"This was a great opportunity for students to learn about journalism, environmentalism, and technology," says Jaime Martinez, PNN.com's Senior Journalist. "And Doug is such a cool guy with great stories to tell about his expeditions. Kids got excited about learning just being around him."After Doug's presentation, PNN's teams of student journalists got a chance to interview Doug. The audio from the interviews will be recorded and turned into a podcast for Doug's PNN page (http://iceaxe.pnn.com). Students are also encouraged to submit their stories to their school paper and other local papers.
