  Pens for writing, crayons for drawing or coloring.

  I like to sign all my checks with a red crayola crayon

  I would normally prefer both, but crayons I use when im in a playful mood, like coloring with my younger family members, and pens I use when I'm trying to get something done.

  Crayons! More fun, more possibilities... even on practical things like tests and essays, I'd rather use a crayon than a pen if I could get away with it.
